As a little pick-me-up during the Coronavirus Pandemic, Bryan Talbot, working with web master James Robertson, has put together a downloadable version of all of the free comics published on his official site site over the years.

The DC Universe Infinite tier is available for $7.99 a month, or $74.99 a year, plus applicable taxes. Both the monthly and the annual plans include a seven-day free trial, and they receive new comics six months after the print release, five months after Ultra subscribers receive them.

The yonkoma series has been adapted into a TV flash anime produced by Think Corporation, with 26 episodes to date. The original yonkoma is still being published in the monthly Japanese manga magazine Monthly Comic Blade.Neko Rahmen was the most watched short animation series on Yahoo! Japan official streaming site in August 2007.[1]

The series is also noted for being the first anime series to be licensed exclusively by a US IPTV company, Vuze, and made available as a free download without digital restrictions.[2] Vuze also subtitled the first 13-episode season of the series into English. There was a live-action adaptation for Tornado Film titled "Neko Ramen Taishō," that utilizes both real cats and plush puppets.[3]

Remember print gaming magazines? Although there are a handful that are still active and enjoyed by enthusiasts to this day, it's safe to say that the medium is a shadow of its former self, with the rise of the internet making countless print outlets all but obselete.

Still, what's great about the internet is you can find a ruddy boatload of print magazines that have been uploaded and archived over the years, just waiting for your eager eyes to scroll over their glorious pages. One such example is Nintendo Power, a dedicated gaming magazine from Nintendo of America (and later Future US) that ran from 1988 to 2012. Thanks to a group of talented archivists working on a project known as 'Retromags', all 285 issues are now available to download on Archive.org.

Coming in at just over 40GB for the lot, the files are unofficially available in .cbr format, showcasing everything from Nintendo's pioneering NES era to the dawn of the shortlived Wii U. You can download each issue individually, if you wish, but fair warning, it seems the site is getting a bit hammered at the moment, so you might be in for some long waits.

Of course, the question on everybody's lips, including our own, is how long this will be available before Nintendo itself inevitably takes it down? It's not exactly known for welcoming such projects with open arms, but hopefully even Nintendo will realise how important the preservation of gaming magazines is. Fingers crossed.

Cool as that is, I just can't read magazines in electronic format. I have issues 49-138 and the last three issues, and I'd love to read the rest but I can't do it this way. I'm still hoping for a big reprint of all issues in a few hardbound books.

@bippity_bop It... should be fine if you at least download the torrent to your phone before transferring it to your computer... I think. I'm no good with technical stuff like this, but that's what I'm doing at least.

I love my dad. A lot. But I've never forgiven him for pitching my old magazines. At the time, I was a Nintendo Fun Club subscriber. Nintendo sent me issue 1 of Nintendo Power as a preview. I loved it and subscribed, after which they sent me another issue 1. I was meticulous. Both issue 1's were flawless, as were the other several years' worth I'd accumulated. Ugh. I was able to save the Player's Guide and other special Strategy Guide issues, but still, a bummer.

@speedyb Yeah, Retromags is the place for all of these magazines. Personally, old EGMs are a lot more interesting to read than Nintendo Power... lots more rumors of games that never came out or were never localized, more honest reviews (although they were heavily Sega-biased during the 16-bit era), and NP has too much strategy/maps stuff, which isn't that interesting to me. Still fun to look at, though!

Nintendo's lawyers: "We're so mad people can download this magazine we canceled 10 years ago! How dare people be able to enjoy this thing and not give us money, even though we weren't selling it anymore anyways!"

@Omedru try this.magnet:?xt=urn:btih:8a1a883270f3f094150ce258a26b4ca581839153&dn=nintendo-power-issue-128&tr=http%3a%2f%2fbt1.archive.org%3a6969%2fannounce&tr=http%3a%2f%2fbt2.archive.org%3a6969%2fannounce&ws=http%3a%2f%2fia601505.us.archive.org%2f9%2fitems%2f&ws=https%3a%2f%2farchive.org%2fdownload%2f&ws=https%3a%2f%2fia601505.us.archive.org&ws=https%3a%2f%2fia801505.us.archive.org

I have the first issue, 4th issue, 31 and 32 issues displayed in frames in mint condition hanging on my wall. Passed down to me from my grandfather when he was subscribed to Nintendo Power. I have the rest of the magazines in a box. Here's my display of them.

i just knew i wouldn't be able to download it in time because i had a work trip. seriously how does this hurt nintendo??? If you don't want free uploads, then upload them yourselves and lets us buy em directly!!!!

I love the part of the Tank Girl process that is like a cottage industry these days. This book seems, in its way, like an extension of the same impulse that the poster magazines you produce come from. 2ff7e9595c
